Initially, I bought contrastrepetitionalignmentproximity for a project concerning the four basic principles of visual communications, Contrast, Repetition, Alignment and Proximity, respectively.

When the project faded to the bottom of my priority list, I used the URL as my Tumblr name because it was handy, and I wanted to test out Tumblr’s custom URL feature. I’ve made significant changes to my web presence in the last month, including a push towards web design in my freelancing practice on my portfolio site and the procurement of an excellent new hosting plan with Media Temple (mt).

What’s next

Eventually, this blog will be rolled into a page on my portfolio site, so you can expect to see a custom theme attached to this site very soon. I’ve been using Prologue Pro by Hayden Hunter for the past couple years, and I can’t say enough about how great it has been. Definitely one of the best Tumblr themes, which is why I’ve been so dedicated to it.
