Obama is off to a another great start. Design is embedding itself into popular values at breakneck speeds, so it was only a matter of time before politics fell victim to its youthful charm. I spend nearly every waking hour devoting my life to the aesthetic sensibilities I think of as “good design,” so why am I longing for the days of under-designed political campaigns?? Probably because I’m all too aware of design’s power to seduce and manipulate.
